Cette correspondance inédite avec le spécialiste de l’histoire des religions Salomon Reinach témoigne de l’intérêt que Sorel a porté pour toute une série de questions religieuses érudites, dont, entre autres, le thème du sacrifice rituel chez les Anciens. Georges Sorel and the history of religions : Letters from Georges Sorel to Salomon Reinach (1911-1921). This hitherto unpublished correspondence with religious historian Salomon Reinach testifies to Sorel’s erudite interest for religious history. In his presentation, Hervé Duchêne shows how, despite the formal politeness of this seemingly neutral scientific correspondence, the authors had two radically different approaches to the history of religions.

Georges Sorel and the history of religions : Letters from Georges Sorel to Salomon Reinach (1911-1921).

This hitherto unpublished correspondence with religious historian Salomon Reinach testifies to Sorel’s erudite interest for religious history.
